After visiting Lou and seeing some of the portraits in her studio I knew I wanted her to complete a portrait for my sister and brother-in-law in memory of my nephew who died unexpectedly after a short illness. With limited photos (I wanted this to be a surprise) Lou took on the task and she captured J’s likeness wonderfully. From his handsome face, to his Paul Newman blue eyes and infectious smile she nailed it! When I presented the framed portrait to my sister and brother-in-law at Christmas there were many a tear, but also a joy in the likeness of J. To quote my sister “Lou did such a beautiful job. She captured J’s likeness so well. My husband and I treasure it.” They display the portrait on their mantle where they see it every day.
